Vote Climate

Thankyou for supporting the Kooyong Votes Climate Campaign

Vote for strong climate action to give our kids a brighter future!

Australia could be a solar and wind powerhouse, with tens of thousands of new clean energy jobs, where renewables replace coal as our biggest export earner. Instead our politicians are throwing public money to industries that are on their way out.

Voting for climate will help move Australia past our current divisive, ineffectual energy policy that is seeing our emissions rise at rapid rates.

The Kooyong Votes Climate campaign is determined that every elector in Kooyong is informed about the importance of their vote for clean energy and a safer climate future.

Check out our Climate Candidate Scorecard
We have surveyed every Kooyong candidate and released the results in the form of an easily digestible scorecard, including the methodology that our eminent panel used to score the candidates' responses, and the responses themselves.

We hope that candidates will be improving their positions on climate action.  We promise to keep you updated with accurate information about the candidates' current positions on climate action.

Vote for strong climate action to protect your future and our kids

The earth is already too hot. From fires in Tasmania, floods in Queensland, and dying rivers, every week Australians are impacted by our climate crisis.

The world’s greatest climate scientists tell us that we still have time to prevent the worst consequences of fossil fuel driven climate damage, but the window for action is closing rapidly.

We have solutions
Renewables with storage is now the most affordable form of energy, and protecting forests, restoring wetlands and natural drawdown techniques can greatly reduce climate damage.

But our politicians are blocking effective action, and are even considering funding new coal fired power stations.

Your vote is powerful
Together we can elect climate leaders, and make climate the number one issue this election.

Your vote can help accelerate strong climate action to help keep our kids safe.

I will vote for a representative who will lead on strong climate action

We are the first generation to realise we are destroying the natural world, and the last that can do anything about it. We have a duty to act, and a duty to the generations that come after us. With only ten years to respond before it’s too late, our actions must be proportionate to the scale of the challenge we face.

Climate change management that eclipses all others. Without a sustainable future, questions of health funding, the economy, and education become in significant.
